School Readiness

If children are going to school without the necessary supplies, they are not arriving at school fully prepared to be active learners, and their academic success becomes an uphill battle. Madison Needs Network hosts an annual pop-up school supply store where all students in the Madison school district can shop for their school supplies free of charge. Madison Needs Network restocks school supplies mid-year directly to schools per request. Read more about our School Readiness Campaign >>

Experiencing Homelessness

Every year, over 3,500 people in Madison experience homelessness, with the average age of homeless citizens at just 9 years old. Madison Needs Network collects high demand supplies to ensure that the homeless in Madison have what they need to survive seasonal dangers. Donations are directly distributed via street outreach or through partner organizations. Madison Needs Network also hosts an annual winter holiday party for families that includes a hot breakfast and gifts for children.
